Design a sign-up screen for a web app. Keep the layout simple: one form column, clear labels, and a single primary action. The user should be able to understand what to enter, what happens next, and how to recover from mistakes without leaving the page.
Include fields for email, password, and confirm password. Add short helper text for password requirements, a visible show/hide password control, and a checkbox or inline note for terms and privacy consent. Place a secondary path to log in for returning users.
Design the default, error, disabled, and success states. Errors should sit beside the field they belong to and keep the entered text intact. If the form is incomplete, the submit button should read as unavailable rather than failing silently.
Use hierarchy to make the submit action obvious and the form easy to scan. Keep spacing tight enough for a fast flow, but leave enough room for labels, helper text, and validation messages to breathe.
What to deliver
- Design the sign-up form with email, password, and confirm-password fields
- Add a clear primary submit button and a secondary link to log in
- Show inline field labels, helper text, and password rules
- Include privacy terms consent near the submit action
- Design basic error, disabled, and success states
Add a sprinkle of delight with micro-interactions or animations as users complete fields to make filling out the form a pleasure.
