Bookmarks & Collections
Design a bookmarks and collections manager for a saved-items library. The interface should help people scan saved content quickly, group it into collections, and get back to something they saved without hunting through a long list.
Include a main library view that shows saved items with thumbnails, titles, and lightweight metadata. Make collection boundaries obvious, and give users a clear way to switch between all bookmarks and a single collection. Search and sort should sit close to the list, not buried in a menu.
Design the collection workflow too: create a new collection, rename it, reorder items inside it, and move bookmarks between collections. Item-level actions should be easy to find but not noisy, and removing a bookmark should keep the user in context with a clear undo or recovery state.
Cover the states that make the screen feel finished: empty library, empty collection, no search results, and loading. The layout should hold up on smaller screens and larger ones without changing the core hierarchy.
What to deliver
- Design the bookmarks library screen with saved items, collection groupings, and search.
- Add collection management for create, rename, reorder, and delete.
- Show item actions for move, remove, and open in a clear overflow or swipe pattern.
- Include empty, loading, and no-results states with a next step.
- Adapt the layout for desktop and mobile without changing the core structure.
Incorporate drag and drop functionality to provide a fun and interactive way for users to organize their collections.
