Agricultural Machinery Dashboard
Design the main dashboard for an agricultural machine used in the field. This is the screen an operator checks while driving, turning, and monitoring work in progress. It should show the machine's current state first: engine health, fuel level, hydraulic pressure, GPS signal, speed, and active work mode.
Treat the dashboard as a control surface, not a report. Put the most urgent information in the top layer and keep secondary telemetry one step away. If something is wrong, the warning should be specific, visible, and tied to a clear next action, such as slowing down, stopping, refilling, or opening maintenance details.
Design for rough conditions: sunlight, motion, gloves, and quick glances. Use large targets, strong contrast, and a layout that stays readable when the operator is moving. Live field coverage, row progress, or area worked should be easy to understand without reading dense labels.
Include states for normal operation, warning, and fault. The screen should make it obvious what the machine is doing now, what needs attention next, and which controls are safe to use while the machine is in motion.
What to deliver
- Design the main machine status dashboard
- Surface engine, fuel, hydraulics, and GPS at a glance
- Show live field coverage, speed, and operating mode
- Add alerts for faults, low fuel, and maintenance due
- Include quick controls for key machine actions
- Design the alert and detail states for critical readings
Enhance usability with clear visual indicators for critical metrics such as fuel levels, engine temperature, and maintenance alerts.
