Level-Up Interface

Design the level-up overlay that appears the moment a player gains a level. It should feel like a reward layer on top of gameplay, not a menu that interrupts the flow.

Show the granted outcome clearly: stat boosts, ability unlocks, or both. The player should understand what changed without digging into a separate character screen.

Use a game-native layout with strong hierarchy for the new level, the actual gains, and the next action. Keep it readable in a short glance, since this screen may appear during a tense moment.

Make the moment feel celebratory but functional. The interface needs to communicate progress, let the player confirm quickly, and return them to play with the new stats already understood.

What to deliver

  • Design the full level-up overlay state.
  • Show stat increase rows with before/after values or clear deltas.
  • Show ability unlock presentation, including icon and short label.
  • Include the confirm/continue action that dismisses the overlay.
  • Design a compact variant for small reward sets and a larger one for multiple gains.

Group the reward into two zones: a loud level-up header and a quieter breakdown of each stat or unlock, so the player sees the celebration first and the details second.
