Redeeming
Design the redemption flow for a product where users claim a reward, voucher, or promo code. Start from the place where redemption is triggered, then move through code entry or reward selection, review, and confirmation. Treat this as a real product flow, not a concept screen: the user should always know what they are redeeming, what value they will get, and what happens next. Show the main path and the key edge cases. If the flow uses a code field, make the input easy to find, easy to correct, and clear about format requirements. If the flow uses a list of available rewards, make the selected item obvious before submission. Include states for invalid, expired, already used, or ineligible redemptions, and keep the entered code or chosen reward visible when something goes wrong. The end state should confirm the result in plain language and show the effect of redemption in context. If the reward is added to an account, wallet, or order, make that change visible immediately. If there is a next step, such as applying the reward, viewing details, or redeeming another item, surface it without making the user hunt for it.
What to deliver
- Design the redemption entry point and the screen where the user chooses a reward, voucher, or code to redeem.
- Show the input, scan, or selection step with clear validation and visible requirements.
- Design the confirmation step before redemption is finalized.
- Include success and failure states with clear next actions.
- Show how the redeemed item is applied, saved, or added to the account.
When designing the 'Redeeming' flow, think about the 'thrill of the reward' concept. Use vibrant colors, celebratory animations, or unique visual elements at the moment of redemption to evoke a sense of achievement and delight.
