Double-Tap to Like Image
Design a mobile social feed image card that supports double-tap to like. The image sits inside a normal scrolling feed, so the resting state has to make the gesture feel discoverable without shouting for attention.
The core interaction is a fast toggle: double-tap the image and the like state flips with a quick visual burst on the image itself. Treat the image as the target, not a separate button tucked elsewhere.
Show the card in its default feed context, with enough surrounding UI to make the like state understandable at a glance — author row, caption snippet, and the existing engagement area nearby.
The interesting part is the transition from passive viewing to immediate feedback. The animation should feel snappy and tied to the image, not like a generic modal or toast layered on top.
What to deliver
- Design the default social feed image card state.
- Show the liked and unliked visual states on the image card.
- Design the quick like animation tied to the double-tap.
- Place the card in a realistic feed row with surrounding content.
- Include the nearby like control state so the gesture and explicit action align.
Keep the like feedback anchored to the tap point or image center, and make the state change obvious even if the animation is missed.
