Comments

Design a comments screen for a content detail page. The layout should make it easy to scan who said what, when they said it, and how to respond. Include a clear list of comments with avatar, name, timestamp, and body text, plus a visible count at the top so users know how active the thread is.

Each comment should support the core actions: reply, like/upvote, and report. Keep those actions close to the comment but visually secondary to the text. If a comment has replies, show a nested thread treatment that makes parent/child relationships obvious without turning the page into a wall of indented text.

Add a comment composer that feels ready to use: placeholder text, character guidance if needed, and a strong submit state. Show what happens when a comment is posting, when a thread is collapsed, and when a comment is flagged or unavailable. The screen should read cleanly in both short and long threads, with enough hierarchy that users can jump in, respond, and move on without losing context.

What to deliver

  • Design the comments list with author, timestamp, body, and avatar.
  • Add a composer for new comments with primary submit state.
  • Show reply, like/upvote, and report actions on each comment.
  • Include collapsed thread/reply nesting for multi-level conversations.
  • Add empty, loading, and flagged/disabled states for moderation.

Incorporate placeholder text that reflects realistic conversation to give the mockup a natural and authentic feel.
