Invite & Refer Friends
Design the screen where a user invites friends and tracks referral rewards. This should feel like a real product feature, not a marketing page: the user needs to understand the offer, choose how to share it, and see what happens next. Start with a clear referral summary near the top: what the user earns, what the friend gets, and any limits or rules that matter. Keep the primary action visible, whether that is copying a referral link or sending invites directly. If there are multiple share paths, group them by effort: copy link first, then email, then social share. Below the share actions, show referral progress. That can be a count of invites sent, successful signups, pending rewards, or a simple milestone tracker. If the product includes bonus tiers or time limits, make those readable at a glance. Include the basic states a user will hit: empty state before any invites, success after a link is copied or an invite is sent, and an error state that explains what went wrong and how to recover. The screen should make the next step obvious at every point.
What to deliver
- Design the invite and referral entry screen.
- Show the reward or benefit tied to successful referrals.
- Provide share options for link copy, email, and social sharing.
- Include a referral status area with progress or earned rewards.
- Add empty, success, and error states for sending or copying invites.
Lean into visual symbols like gift icons or handshake graphics to symbolize the benefits and camaraderie of the referral process.
